Welcome to the Mid-West Figure Skating Council website!
The purpose of the Council shall be:
A. To improve, encourage, and advance figure skating for the community served by the Council and cultivate a spirit of fraternal feeling among the ice skating clubs within the Council.
B. To provide a forum for the exchange of information among its Member Clubs for their mutual benefit.
C. To provide a means for cooperative activities which will further the objectives of the Council. Such cooperative activities may include, but are not limited to, the holding of competitions, tests, exhibitions, judge's schools, and other figure skating activities and the publication and dissemination of information concerning figure skating by all appropriate means. The Council has no authority or power to interfere with the rights of its members as Member Clubs of United States Figure Skating, herein referred to as the USFS.
The Mid-West Figure Skating Council Presents
2015 Championship Series
Skaters competing in this Series will receive points for placement in each of the recognized competitions. At the end of the season, the top point skaters will be awarded medals from MWFSC and the club with the most skater accumulated points will receive the Traveling Championship Trophy for that year!
It is important to note, the required elements are the same for every Beginner to Senior level Freeskate, Dance, Artistic and Compulsory event in the competitions participating in the Championship Series. The competitions included in the Series are Heart of America, Wichita Mid-Continent, Pony Express and Line Creek Fall Fling.
There is an annual registration fee of $5 to enter the Championship Series, which can be paid at the Heart of America, Mid-Continent Competition or using the online PayPal system (please enter all requested skater information).
